On the 19th and 20th of September 2023 the official Kickoff for the EMByAM project took place in Hannover. The IAL hosted the two-day meeting with most of the partners and doctoral candidates being able to attend in person.
After a short welcome and introduction by project coordinator Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Ponick and the project managers Prof. Dr.-Ing. Amir Ebrahimi and Florian Redmann every partner and the DCs got the chance to introduce themselves in short presentations. After some additional discussions we ended the first day with a nice dinner at the Brauhaus in Hannover.
The second day was used for organisation of the coming activities as well as a technical discussion about the research goals. Prof. Ponick also took the time to give everyone a tour of the different IAL labs. After the Kickoff the DCs got to stay two more days for the first Workshop on electrical machines.
