Our doctoral candidates Mazahir (IT CAS) and Shaheer (CARDAM) and their supervisors visited the Czech manufacturer of electric motors and pumps EMP-Slavkov. EMP has a long tradition of manufacturing Asynchronous Electric Motors, Special Submersible Motors, and Electric Pumps. On top of that, the engineers of EMP have been visiting the same conferences with the scientists of IT CAS for several decades. Through this well established relationship our project can take advantage.
A possible problem of electric machines can be vibrations and their associated sound. This can be mitigated or eliminated through modification of the eigenvalues of the stator surface and/or the cap. We plan to make theoretical evaluations and print the outlined solutions – first from aluminium, and later from enforced plastics. In combination with the functionality, the economic part is an essential aspect of the printed solution.
This objective is facilitated through an informal relationship with EMP, which was fostered by introducing Mazahir and Shaheer, who immediately took the initiative to propose ideas.
