The third project meeting of the EMByAM project took place in Prague on September 16 and 17. The 21 participants from Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, United Kingdom and Finland came together for a two-day event. On the first day, the doctoral candidates presented their latest research to the consortium. In the afternoon, participants were given a guided tour of Prague. The day ended with a social dinner event featuring traditional Czech dishes.
On the second day, the consortium met to discuss future plans for the project. Afterwards, participants hat the opportunity to see the IT CAS laboratories and visit project partner CARDAM, who provided interesting insights into additive manufacturing. They were also given a tour of the research facilities at the HiLASE Centre and the ELI Beamlines Facility. Both institutions conduct research in the field of laser technology and presented their impressive work to the participants of the 2025 project meeting. The second day ended with a visit to the opera at the National Theatre in Prague.
After the project meeting, the doctoral candidates stayed for two more days and participated in workshops organized by IT CAS on vibration and magnetic noise in electric machines and by CARDAM on additive manufacturing. They then came together to discuss possible project synergies and future project ideas.
