After the Kickoff Meeting the first EMByAM summer school was held by Prof. Ebrahimi on electrical machines.

The Czech DCs and their supervisors visited electric machine manufacturer EMP to discuss ideas and optimizations for their electrical machines enabled through additive manufacturing.

Doctoral candidate Siddique Akbar from LUH visited the Hannover Messe to have a look at new methods of additive manufacturing and discuss multi-material printing with the exhibitors of 3D printers.

Doctoral Candidate Akbar Ajamloo published a journal article in IEEE Access on “Design Considerations of a New IPM Rotor With Efficient Utilization of PMs Enabled by Additive Manufacturing”

Doctoral Candidate Shaheer Ul Hassan did his secondment at the University of Gent.

Doctoral Candidate Mazahir Shah did his secondment at Leibniz University of Hannover.

Doctoral Candidate Akbar Ajamloo did his secondment at VTT in Tampere and Espoo.

The second meeting of the whole consortium took place at the University of Ghent.

After the meeting in Ghent the doctoral candidates took part in a workshop at the University.

Following the Ghent workshop there was a second workshop for the doctoral candidates at DANA in Brugges including a tour of the plant.

Doctoral Candidate Hadish Tesfamikael did his secondment at DANA in Brugges.

Doctoral Candidate Yitbarek Bekele presented his paper about reducing AC Joule Losses in Hairpin Windings at the IEEE Energy Conversion Conference and Expo (ECCE) in Philadelphia, USA.

Doctoral Candidate Yitbarek Tedla did his secondment at University of Nottingham.
