Skills
The main core of EMByAM are the DCs (8 PhD candidates) who will build a team working on different parts of the project. These DCs will be equipped with technical and non-technical skills during the project. Since the nature of the project requires a multi-disciplinary approach the DCs will earn far above average hard and soft skills at the end of the project. This multidisciplinary nature of the project is considered by defining the training programme. After a successful accomplishment of the training programme and submitting a doctoral thesis, the DCs will receive a PhD degree. The training programme consists of technical workshops on different topics, soft skills workshops and industry oriented training.
Acadamia, Industry
Depending on the background of the DC, they will be advised to take particular courses. The DCs will participate in internal and external seminars and will supervise Masters and Bachelor theses. This will help the DC to organise their tasks, learn how to transfer their knowledge to the others, how to manage a critical situation and how to communicate with other colleagues. Through participating in different competent groups at the host Institutes, they can boost their experience also in other fields. The DC will be trained in co-teaching in the Bachelor and Master courses and hence will participate in the lectures. This will help them to earn some invaluable experiences on teaching for their further career.
