Workshop VI: Topology optimization in association with additive manufacturing

This workshop, organized by Jenni Pippuri-Mäkeläinen, have been held as online at VTT, Finland, on 20 May 2026. The event focused on the role of Additive Manufacturing (AM) in Electrical Machines (EM), covering topics such as the benefits of AM in EM, optimization of different types of losses, multi-domain optimization including electromagnetic, mechanical, and electrical aspects, and material consumption. Additionally, several prototypes related to Additive Manufacturing in Electrical Machines have been presented during the workshop.
